Mitchell Cup Point Standings- 2003

NOTES:

61 Mitchell Cup 2003 point scorers through September 29, 2003.

The 30th Annual 2003 Mitchell Cup Championships, pairing the CNY area's top 12 amateurs, versus the CNY area's top 12 professionals, is scheduled to be played at Onondaga CC, on Sunday, October 5, 2003.

Coming into this October's matches, the all time series record, between the 2 groups, stands at 18 to 11, with the Professionals holding a strong series lead over the Amateurs.

Also Please Note:

The SDGA's "Player of the Year" will be announced at the Mitchell Cup Championships on Sunday, 10/5.

Any Mitchell Cup Points scored after October 5, 2003, will be credited to the player, at the beginning of the 2004 Mitchell Cup Points calculatins, in Spring 2004.

And...

The Syracuse District Golf Association's "Golfer of the Year" aware, for the 2003 season, was named by the Association, at its' fall meeting, on Wednesday, 9/24/03.

John Passonno, of Green Lakes CC, "for his contributions which promote the best interests and the true spirit of the game of golf, as embodied in its' ancient and honorable traditions, presented by his friends and follow golfers" was named the 2003 SDGA "Golfer of the Year".
