John Clare Wins District Championship

John Clare of Bellevue CC has won the 2016 SDGA Match Play Championship, with a 4&2 victory over Jon Petrin of Lakeshore Yacht &CC. The complete bracket can be found here.

Clare finished off the victory with an eagle 3 at Skaneateles CC's par 5 16th hole, capping off a week where he was never pushed to the final hole in any match. This is the second SDGA Championship in the past 2 years for Clare, a rising Senior and All-American at Lemoyne College. Clare also won the 2015 SDGA Gerry Ashe Championship.
