The SDGA is responsible for fielding teams for three annual competitions, the Mitchell Cup, Sovik Cup, and Williamson Cup.

To determine who is eligible to compete in these events and the overall player of the year, players earn points by competing in SDGA and other regional/state/national competitions.

​

The Mitchell Cup team will be selected from the Top 10 eligible players from the points listing along with 2 additional picks at the discretion of the Captains'.

​

NEW FOR 2021: The Sovik Cup Team will consist of 12 players from both the SDGA and the CNYPGA. The Sovik Cup team will be selected from the Top 8 overall point leaders from the Senior Points List, minus any points for the Audi Memorial Event & the Top 4 overall point leaders from the Super Senior Points List.
