After the first round was suspended due to rain, play continued at 8:30 am on day two and the tournament was shortened to 27 holes.
Dischinger, of Foxfire G&CC, took a four shot lead into the final 9 and posted a 1-under par score of 35 to beat Mike Naton or Tuscarora by 3 strokes.
Van Gorder, playing out of Newman GC in Ithaca, staged the comeback of the day after trailing by four shots. His final nine hole score of 35 was just enough to win the Super Senior title by 1 stroke over Don LaLonde of Stonehedges.
The SDGA would like to thank all the competitors, the SDGA Committee, and especially Cortland CC for staging the Championship.
