DeCarlo Victorious at 2023 District Match Play Championship

BALDWINSVILLE, N.Y. -- Doug DeCarlo captured the 2023 SDGA District Match Play Championship after defeating Tynan Jones of Skaneateles CC 4&3 in the final match on Sunday at Radisson Greens Golf Course.

After an 18-hole stroke play qualifying round on Monday, 32 competitors advanced into the weekend match play.

DeCarlo, the 2021 champion, secured the number one overall seed in match play after firing a 2-under 70 in the qualifying round.

DeCarlo won 5 matches in total, defeating Robert Cuthill, Christopher Quilty, Damian George, and Julian Galletta on his run to the championship match.
