Petrin Team Wins SDGA Father & Child

CAZENOVIA, N.Y. - Joe & Joey Petrin of Lakeshore Yacht & CC won Saturday's SDGA Father & Child. Shooting a tournament record 58 (29-29), they carded 13 birdies and won by 5 strokes. Jim & Tim Lane finished in second, carding a seven under (63).

Mike Scheemaker aced the 6th hole, marking the third hole-in-one in the event's recent years.

Teams of two competed at Cazenovia Golf Club in a scramble format in one of two divisions: Scratch or Callaway (net using the "Callaway" handicapping system).

In the Callaway division Mary & Terry Langan of Onondaga G&C held off a host of challengers, carding a plus-one (71) to win by a stroke.
