Petrin and Hamilton Secure Victory at 2023 SDGA Best-Ball Championship
Syracuse District Golf Association (SDGA) Best-Ball Championship concluded today at Turning Stone Resort Casino's Shenenodah GC. Joe Petrin, Jr. and Brad Hamilton, representing Lakeshore Yacht & CC, emerged victorious with an impressive performance. The dynamic duo displayed mid-season form, posting rounds of 64 (-8) and 65 (-7) to secure a two-stroke victory at 15-under par.

The tournament, played in a 2-person best ball format, witnessed fierce competition among top local golfers at both Foxfire Golf Club and Shenenodah Golf Club.
Petrin and Hamilton set the tone in the opening round at Foxfire, where they fired an impressive 64 (-8) to establish an early 3-stroke lead. Not squandering their strong start, they carded a solid 65 (-7) to seal their triumph.
Peter Elliot of Cazenovia CC and David May of NYSGA eClub - CNY finished as the runners-up. They started the final round 3-strokes behind the leaders and could only pick up one stroke on the winners, even with an impressive final round of 8-under par.
Tied for third at 12-under par were the teams of Steve Arlukiewicz and Chris Quilty of Tuscarora GC and Dave Hanson and Brian Evans of Beaver Meadows GC. Quilty and Arlukiewicz posted the tournament low in their final round, a 9-under par 63 at Shenendoah.
