Wall Holds on to Round 1 Lead to Win 2022 SDGA Audi Memorial

The 2022 Audi Memorial got underway Tuesday morning at Tuscarora Golf Club with 80 golfers taking the course. After Round 1, Steve Wall of Cortland Country Club was leading the Overall Division with a two-under-par, 69 and never gave up that lead. He finished with a two round total of even par, 142, beating out last year's runner up Todd Dischinger. Dischinger, playing out of Foxfire Golf Course, shot two-over-par, 73, in both rounds to finish the annual tournament at four-over-par, 146. Randy Young (Bellevue Country Club) , eight-over-par, Don Lalonde (Stonehedges Golf Club), nine-over-par and Ed Volpicelli (Stonehedges Golf Club), nine-over-par rounded out the Top 5.

Volpicelli (age 65-69) and Young (age 70-74) also came out on top in their respective age divisions. In the 75-79 division, Terry Marris (Beaver Meadows Golf Club) shot an eight over par to win.
