CNY PGA Regains Mitchell Cup with 26-22 Win Over SDGA Amateurs

The team of amateurs representing the Syracuse District Golf Association fell short during the 48th Mitchell Cup at Onondaga Golf & Country Club on October 3.

They lost to the Central New York PGA Section team, 26-22, during the team competition consisting of alternate shot and four-ball matches.

The SDGA team included members Luke Hobika (Cavalry Club), Joe Petrin (Lakeshore Y&CC), Chris Quilty (Tuscarora GC), Steve Arlukiewicz (Tuscarora GC), Carl Schimenti (Cornell University GC), Andrew Turker (Cornell University GC), Mike McIntosh (Cazenovia CC), Andrew Darrenbacker (Onondaga G&CC), Brad Monroe (Onondaga G&CC), Kevin VandenBerg (Tuscarora GC), Damian George (Timber Banks GC), Connor Wisniewski (Drumlins CC).

Representing the CNY PGA this year were Kevin Roman, Jeff Reader, Trey Walewski, Mark Tucker, Michael Berger, Matt Jaynes, Tony Saraceno, Bruce Martins, Ryan McGinnis, Will Weimer, Eric Manning, Alan Savage.
