Gruninger and Kilmartin win the Junior District Match Play Championship

The SDGA Junior Classic was held at Drumlins Golf Club on July 12-14th.

Johnny Gruninger of Timber Banks defeated Caleb Decker of Seven Oaks 3&1 to win back-to-back Junior District Championships. Gruninger was 2 down through 9 holes and went on to win his final 5 holes, which included two chip-in birdies.

Gruninger also defeated Velton Perry of Onondaga 1 up, Gabe Williams of Seven Oaks 4&3, and Tynan Jones of Skaneatles 5&4.

In the Sub-Junior Division, Emmit Kilmartin of Tuscarora defeated Ryder Burns of Onondaga 6&5 to win his respective division.
